Hey there! Our name is Alex.
We use they/them & We/Us/I/Me pronouns.
Welcome to this magical portal where We hope to support in your decolonizing & healing efforts. We are a Bronx-based, white/latinx, transgender, disabled & chronically ill bruja who’s work prioritizes healing & peer support for QT/BIPOC folks. We also work with those who are allies looking to deepen their intention and impact on cultural and systemic oppression. We hope to support others in strengthening their confidence and skill-sets to work towards our collective liberation! This work isn't easy, and can take a toll on our spirits. But, We're here side by side with you.

We bring a variety of experiences as a queer parent, educator, energy worker, writer, creative, activist, administrator, and holder of many marginalized and privileged identities. We have been facilitating workshops and affinity spaces since 2011, for middle & high school students, as well as adults. Our work focuses predominantly on gender equity, disability justice, abolition magic, and healing justice. We also partner with other educators and facilitators engaging in racial equity and antiracism work.

Most of all, We bring a strong passion to envision a safer more inclusive world for all of us. We bring honesty, authenticity, a deep love for community, and a space to be your most authentic self; whatever that looks like in this moment. We also bring accountability; for Ourself and for you. Because we're all going to fuck up or potentially cause harm, but We believe it is crucial for all of us to stay on a path of creating a better version of ourselves every day. We hope to work with you, (whether through one-on-one support, or group facilitation) to explore the areas in which you want to grow, and where We may be able to best support you on your journey to becoming more healed, decolonized, and whole.

Why We do what We do:
Colonialism has harmed our world for hundreds of years, and countless have fought against the oppressive and abusive systems/cultural values it has created. This work to achieve our collective liberation is consistently met with resistance. We have been left with a culture deeply rooted in individualism, violence, and abuses of power. We have all been harmed by it. We have all been conditioned by it. We have all engaged in it. We all need to heal from it.
Colonialism has impacted every aspect of our lives from how we build relationships, engage in our work, see ourselves, LOVE ourselves and one another, talk, think, have faith, and more. We may not be the creators of this divisive culture, but it is our responsibility to continue to agitate and change it; by finding every way possible to tear apart, undo, and rebuild this current way of being.
With intentionality, consistency, and compassion, we can continue this crucial work to finally achieve the decolonized & liberated world of our dreams. By healing ourselves, and our communities, we are resisting the violence that continues to be imposed upon us. Healing is liberation!
